Show I Local I Karl Bird,' son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bird of Springville, is registered as a junior at Snow College, Ephraim. He is in the science course. Grading and graveling of 4.05 miles of road between Monte-cello Monte-cello and Verdure will be done by W. W.- Clyde" company; the I low bid being recently approved by the state road commission. Schools will be closed Friday, October 15, for the annual industrial in-dustrial vacation and reopen Monday, Mon-day, October 25, according to the school calendar. During the latter lat-ter part of the week, teachers will attend the U. E. A. meet in Salt Lake City. The Daughters of Utah Pioneers Pio-neers of Springville announce their initial meetings of this season. Camp Aaron Johnson will meet next Thursday afternoon, October 21, at the home of Mrs. May Bird. Camp Springville will meet today, October 14, with Mrs. Flora McKenzie. PROVO Sally Binks, Springville, Spring-ville, a student at Brigham Young University received a bid 'or membership mem-bership in the White Key organization, organ-ization, social unit, at a beautifully beauti-fully appointed breakfast held at the home of Edna Mae Hedquist recently. The girls receiving bids for membership were chosen as pledges because of their excellence in service, scholarship and enthusiasm. |
