Show Liquor Store Opens Thursday Trucks from Salt Lake City are bringing liquor to. Provo this afternoon aft-ernoon in preparation for the opening open-ing of the state liquor store at 65 North First West Thursday morning morn-ing at 9. Announcement of the opening Thursday was made by John Man-son, Man-son, manager, who states that the store will be open for business from 9 a. m. until 10 p. m. week days and from 9 a. m. until 11 p. m. Saturdays. It will not be open Sundays, legal holidays or election elec-tion days. More than 1000 cases of liquor, in half-pints, pints, fifth, half-gallon half-gallon and gallon lots are being hauled into Provo to be stacked on the shelves. All types of liquor will be available wines, whiskeys, blends, gins, sloe gin, rum, cordials.' cord-ials.' and appetizers, ales and stouts. Many different brands and types wiil lie carried. Mr. Manson's price list indicates the reasonable cost of the state liquors as compared with bootleg prices. Crab Orchard will sell for 00 cents a pint, Cream of Kentucky Ken-tucky 95 cents a pint, Canadian Club, six years old, is $2.35 a pint, Old Smoothie gin, 65 cents a pint, Quasti port wine 55 cents a quart and one of the cheaper muscatel wines, $1.25 a gallon. So far 240 persons have obtained permits from the Provo office. Permits may be obtained at the office on the third floor of the city and county building until Thursday, Thurs-day, when they will be available at the liquor store. |
