The Springville players have lived for a chance to play Carbon and to beat them. Coach Davis feels by playing better than they have done in the past his team has a fighting chance. Springville Red Devils Play Two Home Games, Nov. 6; Armistice Day UV TOM JLATIMKR Friday, Nov. (i, the Springville lied Devils will play the Park City Miners on the gridiron of the Springville high at 3 o'clock. On Armistice day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 2:30 o'clock, the Devils tangle with the Carbon Dinosaurs. The battle ground will be at Springville. When Coach Davis' boys run up against the Miners, they are going go-ing to have to play exceptionally well, if they expect to come off victorious. The Miners, coached by Pete Carlson, have won all the games they have particpated in, and are a strong outfit. They are a flashy team, very fast, and specialize spe-cialize in open plays and passes. Just as a comparison to show, how evenly these two teams are matched, Springville walloped the Wasatch high at Heber, 45-0, while Park City also tromped the same team 44-0. Park City is de-it de-it K ter mined to clean-up on the Red Devils, and to maintain the fine ! standing they possess. Springville is equally determined to show the Miners just where to head in at. The Carbon Dinosaurs are the I leading team in division three, they were, also, runners-up for the ! state football championship last ; year; they are among the strongest strong-est teams of the state. These few facts are absolute not hallucinations, for the boys from Ca rbon have a rep which any team wishes, hopes, and fights for, but seldom achieves. Let me tell you, they are real football players. On the other side of the proverbial pro-verbial fence, it is obvious, Springville Spring-ville is definitely the underdogs. On forming a resume of the two teams past records, we find Carbon Car-bon has not lost a game and tied ' none; Springville has tied' two, i won three, which gives Carbon a I margin of success.
