Show .... - i Senators Differ With Roosevelt About Coalition WASHINGTON, Aug. 9 U.R President Roosevelt's criticism of congressional groups which wrecked his neutrality, lending and housing programs brought from western Democratic senators remaining in the capital today denials de-nials that the New Deal defeats were the result of a Republican-Democratic Republican-Democratic coalition. Sens. Alva B. Adams, D., Colo., and William H. King. DM Utah, both denied the existence of a coalition. They said different groups had opposed the president on neutrality and lending. Sen.. Pat McCarron, D., Nev., who voted for the lending bill. Said, however, that its defeat was the "greatest opportunity that private initiative and private industry in-dustry has been afforded in years." Sen. Lewis B. Schwellenbach, D., Wash., New Dealer, said he agreed with the president about failure to act on neutrality, but not on the same grounds. "The gamble was taken," Schwellenbach said, .
