Show . i'mapleton : : BY TIIOItA WHITIN'G The Maplcton M. I. A. met la.st Wednesday night and planned their year's activities. Besides their dances and parties they plan to have a three-act play, three one-act one-act plays, exchange plays, and the ward reunion. A good time is planned for everyone who attends the social functions of the M. I. A. The people of Mapieton are in vited to attend the annual Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en party, October 29, to be given at the amusement hall, by the M. I. A. There will be a program pro-gram and dance. The Juniors and the Bee Hive classes will sell candy and popcorn balls, so bring your nickels. Everyone is invited. Mrs. Oscar Whiting gave a birthday party for her daughter, Virginia, who was six years old last Sunday. A luncheon was served serv-ed to the following guests: Shirley Shir-ley Hansen, Corma and Ardith Whiting Helen, Dorothy and Ruth Jolley, Neola and Ervin Burrows, Ned and Don Whiting, Colleen Burgy, Marylin Whiting and the hostess. A lovely time was enjoyed en-joyed by all. A group of girl friends surprised Naomi Harmer on her birthday Thursday, October 17 at her home. The pafty featured a chili supper and ice cream. After supper the following girls played games: Ber-niece Ber-niece Johnson, Lou Beal, Erma Holley, Grace Holley, lone Niel-son, Niel-son, Erma Mendenhall. and the hostess. The girls all had a very nice time. |
