Show BRINGHURST SERVICES HELD Largely attended services for William Bringhurst, Jr., son of William Bringhurst, city recorder, and Mrs. Bella Bird Bringhurst, who died Thursday of heart trouble, were held Sunday in the Third ward chapel. The speakers, each of whom paid glowing tribute to the character char-acter of the youth, were William T. Tew. seminary teacher; Bishop A. G. Peterson and Leo Bird of Salt Lake City. Music was given by Mrs. Ellen Anderson who sang a solo; Elvon Peterson, . Max Mendenhall and Earl Tuckett of Lake View, each of whom gave a vocal solo. The invocation was offered by Bishop Ernest Strong of the Second Sec-ond ward and the benediction by Daniel Witney of the First ward bishopric. Aaron Mendenhall dedicated dedi-cated the grave, at the Evergreen Ever-green cemetery. Interment was under the direction of Claudin funeral home. William (Bill) Bringhurst was born in Springville. January 31, 1913, and had lived here since. He took a prominent part in scholastic scholas-tic affairs at the Springville high school, graduating from the school in 1031. He also had attended at-tended the U. S. A. C, at Logan and the B. Y. IX, Provo. He was prominent in scout and M.I.A work in the Third ward, and was a popular member of a large group of friends here. Surviving, besides his parents are eight brothers and sisters, John F Wells B., Robert R., Dale B. . Martin B., Afton and Beth Bringhurst of Springville: Mrs. Francis Sabin, Salem, and a grandmother, Mrs. J. F. Bringhurst Bring-hurst of Springville. |
