Show ; EXERCISES FOR 4-H CLUBS TO BE HELD The annual 4-H club achievement achieve-ment exercises for- the Springville district will be held Sunday at 7 p. m., in the Second ward chapel, under the direction of Mrs. J. Emmett Bird, supervisor. Representatives Repre-sentatives from the Utah county agriculture office and also Commissioner Com-missioner J. W. Gillman of Povo have been invited to attend the exercises as special guest speakers. A feature of the exercises will be the presentation of pins by a representative of the bankers association, to an 4-H club members mem-bers who have completed their project. Ray Peterson who won first place in the Jersey 4-H club project at the state fair will be presented with a gold medal from the American Jersey club association, associa-tion, and DeVere Weight who won second place in the same project, will be presented with a silver medal from the same association. DeVere Weight who also attended attend-ed the school for 4-H club members mem-bers and leaders at the U. S. A. C, Logan, will give a short talk on highlights of his trip; Miss Annie Fox will give a piano solo; the girls' club chorus composed of Catherine Weight, Phylis Weight, Leslie Loveridge, Norma Fullmer, Beth Ann Latimer, Melva Mer-riott, Mer-riott, Loween Crandali, Melba Miner will give selections. The closing prayer will be given by Gene Bird. The public is cordially cordial-ly invited to attend. |
