Show ' LOCALS ! : : The Home Culture club sponsoring spon-soring a better. light display in the 'window of the Modern Style Shoppe, this week, it announced. Citizens are invited to view the display which is being s'lown in connection with a national program pro-gram of better light for better sight. The display shows the need of adequate lighting facilities for reading or sewing and other close work. It is well worth your time to see the display. It also features a device which may be or is being be-ing used to measure light. Any one interested in baseball in Springville is invited to be at the high school campus any night this week between 3 and 5 p. m. Providing a sufficient number of local citizens are interested in the sport a team will be organized, according to announcement. Nearly 500 head of dairy and j range cattle have been tested in I this vicinity the past week for j Bang's disease, stockmen report. ; Only a small per cent reacted to the tests showing symptoms of the disease. A. rifle project under un-der the direction of Glenn Brown Saturday, held another target practice contest with De Vers Clegg winning first place with a score of 80 out of a possible 100 points and Carl Miller placing second sec-ond with 76 points. Alma M. Blanchard. a resident of this city prior to 1883, visited Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Weight and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Weieht and 'families and other friends here last Wednesday and Thursday. Mr. Blanchard who has been residing in Idaho, and is now making hh home in Logan, has just returned from an extensive tour of the United States visiting interesting places in the ?outh as well as In Lhe eastern and western sections. |
