Show Organization for County Clean-Up Group Perfected Impetus was given the county-wide county-wide clean-up and landscape improvement im-provement program Monday night with the appointment of community commun-ity chairmen for the various Utah county cities and towns. At a meeting of the central committee with representatives of civics, church and other interested groups, the following chairmen were named: John N. Whimpey, Lehi; Owen Ash, Pleasant Grove; J. D. Wad-ley Wad-ley and Richard Cullimore, Lindon; D. D. Adamson, Alpine; J. L. Larsen, Vineyard; Jess Sumsion, Lake View; James Anderson, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Pearl Bigler, Palmyra; Cecil Nelson, Genola; Mrs. H. Grant Ivlns, Pleasant ! View; Elmer Bird, Mapleton; Roy Taylor, Salem; Paul Ludlow, Benjamin; Ben-jamin; Herbert Peterson, Leland; I. C. Holliday, Santaquin; Ray Buraston, Goshen, and Thomas M. Anderson, Lake Shore. Chairmen named for temporary duty are: Keith C. Nielson, American Fork; Mark D, Eggert-sen, Eggert-sen, Provo! Mrs. Edward Clyde, Springville, and B. M. Jolley, Orem. In i Provo, the campaign likely will be coordinated with the junior jun-ior chamber of commerce clean-up April 30-May 6. The county-wide drive is in harmony har-mony with a program launched by the central state committee and Governor Henry H. Blood's 1947 world's fair committee. The aim will be to remove all unsightly objects and carry on a landscape improvement program that will make Utah county a center of cleanliness and beauty. 1 |
