Show At The Universities i (Special to Springville Herald) Pauline Clyde of Springwile, was one of 18 girls who pledged Tuesday afternoon to Cwean, honorary activities organization at the University of Utah. Pledging Pledg-ing ceremonies were held at Carlson Carl-son hall, University residence hall for women, and the color scheme was carried out in purple pur-ple and gold, Cwean colors. Miss Clyde is in residence at Carlson ' hall, and is studying speech, in the school of education. educa-tion. She is a graduate of Springville Spring-ville high school, and the daughter daugh-ter of. Edward Clyde. PROVO (Special to Springville Herald) Helen Tew of Springville Spring-ville is a member of the program bureau staff at Brigham Young university here. The bureau was established by the university to render service serv-ice in the form of programs to schools and communities thru-out thru-out the state. Musicals of all tyes, dramatics, lectures. and other forms of entertainment and educational features compose, these programs. Miss Tew was elected on the freshman committee and is president pres-ident of the Y.X.L.M.'s (returned lady missionary group). Recently she won in the primary elections as secretary-treasurer of the freshman class. Her father, William Wil-liam T. Tew, a former seminary teacher in Springville, is now president of the East Central States mission of the L. D. S. church. Miss Tew filled a mission, under her father. |
