IsTopular ; Many Fine Gifts are Given Away If you attended the dance Thursday Thurs-day night at Memorial hall, you know of the fine success of the affair. If you did not attend you f missed a good time and possibly one or more of the fine gifts given ; during the evening. The enter- ; tainment was the first of a series j to be given each month by a com- mittee from the Kiwanis club, to sponsor more interest in home trade. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Myron A. Childs were the recipients of a lovely studio couch; Mrs. Harry Ewing. a breakfast set; Roy Johnson, a bridge set; Ed Johnson, end table and scarf and Miss Virginia Childs. a lamp. A cash award of $10 was not claimed but will accumulate for the next dance. Numerous names were announced for the other gifts but were not in at- f tendance. The next dance will be given ; October 29, at Memorial 'halt. All j arc urged to attend. In the meantime mean-time ask local merchants for a ticket with each fifty cent pur-chase. pur-chase. They apply on the various gifts given at the dances and also , on the grand prize, a Ford car to be given at Christmas time. j . I |
