Show KITES DAMAGE POWER LINES Boys with kites crossing electric elec-tric wires in various parts of the city have caused . considerable damage and expense to city electrical, elec-trical, equipment the past few days, and in. no doubt unconsciously uncon-sciously endangered their lives, according to City Electrician Dell Rowland. While the extent of the danger of kite flying near electric light wires is probably not known bv the boys, the sport has resulted in several fuse plugs being blown out at the power house, and in some cases radios in residences have been damaged by the kites being entangled in high voltage wires. Parents throughout the city are asked to warn their children of the danger of the sport, and to explain to them the resulting damages to (he city electric system. |
