Show Former Residents Of Mercur Plan Reunion In S. L Plans for the perfection of an or-, or-, ganization of former residents of j Mercur, one-time famous mining camp of Utah, are under way, according ac-cording to announcement made here today. Sponsors of the proposed pro-posed organization have expended an invitation to all former residents resi-dents of the camp to an outing to be conducted at Liberty park, Salt Lake City, September 20. "Revival of the old mining camp seems imminent, and as thoughts have turned to the good old days, the idea of such an organization has crystalized," declares D. L. Underwood, Garfield, chairman of the general committee. Jit is expected that many towns of Utah, as well as persons of surrounding sur-rounding states, will participate in the celebration, it is said. Letters have been sent to more than it hundred former residents of the camp. Governor Dern, .himself a former resident of the camp, has signified his intention of participating in the celebration. Committees have been appointed to arrange for the outing and those who attend are given every assurance of an en joyable outing. |
