Show , : . 1 Products To Be Seen Here FJfuatu rday; Fine Program Planned J ' I Final details of the Springville community fair, to be held at the high school Friday and Saturday, are completed and every indication points to the most successful fair in the history of the community, 1 according to official in charge. The proverbial horn of plenty will literally shower the auditorium and campus with the best speci-I speci-I mens from every crop raised in the I vicinity, besides livestock, poultry needle work, canned goods, cooked foods, flowers and 4-H club work. All entries in needle work, bottled fruit, flowers, crops, etc., must be 1 in Friday morning at 10 a. m. as judging in these departments takes place at that time. Livestock and j poultry will be entered Saturday before 10 a. m. at which time the judging of these will be held. I As an additional feature of this year's exhibit, special programs , have been arranged as follows: Friday at 3:30 p. m., a special health lecture will be given, together to-gether with demonstrations by Dr. J. R. Bowdish, county physician and Mrs. Sarah B. Lyanco, county nurse. Friday. 7:30 p. m.: Musical entertainment en-tertainment under the direction of Miss Helen Palfrey man. At 7:30 p. m., Miss Lee, home demonstration agent, and Miss Beatrice, Wheeler will talk on pro- per nutrition to which all ladies of the community are invited. County Agent Lyman Rich will discuss dairy problems at a meet- ing arranged especially for the men at 7:30 o'clock. At 8:30 p. m. Friday, Forest Thomas will talk on the cultivation and care of flowers. During the I same hour a poultry meeting will be held with Carl Frischknecht, I poultry specialist of the Utah Ag- ! ricultural college, as the principal ! speaker. A horse pulling contest at 2 p. m. SaUvriay is scheduled as an interesting inter-esting event of this day's entertain- ; ment. Animal judging will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday, and at 10:30 I the high school stock judging contest con-test will be held. The flower show given in connection connec-tion with the fair promises to be an outstanding feature of the two-day exhibit. All entries in this department must be in early Friday morning. They should be placed in a fruit jar with the name of the flower, ' if known, on the bottle. Entries names are not necessary as num-bers num-bers are to be used. It is permiss-able permiss-able to show from one to three of the larger flowers and more of the j smaller variety. Places will be , given in all classes 'of flowers and j baskets. They will be judged ac- , cording to size, shape, foliage and j length and length of ..the stems. Other score cards to be used as the basis for judging are: Clothing and household accessories: General I appearance, 5; suitability, 10; taste, I 5; design and color, 20; wearing . quality, 10; workmanship, 50. Can- ' ned fruits: Color, 15; condition, 30; I clearness, 20; uniformity, (size, I etc.), 15.
