Show BASEBALL MEN CHANGE RULE GALVESTON, Tex., Nov. 18 Ul.R) -Optimistic predictions for baseball base-ball in 1934 were carried home today to-day by delegates to the annual convention con-vention of the National Association of Professional Baseball leagues which closed here last night. Dale C. Gear, Topeka, Kan., voiced the sentiment of the convention conven-tion soon after being re-elected president of the Western league when he said that prospects for next vear were bright and that "baseball is far from being counted out." Most unusual of actions taken by ! circuits at the meeting here was that of the Southern association in j base runners to advance two bases j when four consecutive balls are ' pitched after two outs have been ; made. In event both second and I third bases are occupied the' man on third will be allowed to score with the second base runner slopping slop-ping at third. |
