Show CHILDREN OF CITY SCHOOLS WILL BE FED Through the cooperation of the civic, social and religious organizations organi-zations of Springville the undernourished under-nourished children of this community com-munity will be given one free meal each school day, it was announced announc-ed at a meeting of representatives from the various organizations, Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Rena Roylance, president of the P. T. A., was in charge of the meeting. Detailed arrangements for the cooking and serving will be worked work-ed out, and the project will be under un-der way the first week in December, Decem-ber, it is stated. The dining room and kitchen at the old high school building will be equipped for cooking and serving of the meals. The men's organizations with A. E. Jacobsen I of the high school mechanic de-I de-I pai tment will install the tables for serving. Approximately 100 children are expected to take advantage of the free meals each day. The various principals of the schools will make an examination of the children under weight and .submit the li.st to the committee in charge. Women of the various clubs and oilier organizations will he in charge of the serving while a fund will lie provided to employ a regular regu-lar cook. |
