Show - Asa Keyes Is Free; Paroled For Two Years SAN QUENTIX PRISON, Culif., Oct. VZ (LM!) The big iron gates of San Quentin prison swung open today and Asa Keyes, former Ls Angeles An-geles district attorney, walked walk-ed out, a free man; Nineteen months have elapsed since imprisonment of the once famous lawyer on charges of bribery conspiracy in connection with the collapse col-lapse of the $100,000,000 Jul- I ian Petroleum company. Keyes, originally sentenced to from one to 14 years, must remain on parole for two years, and he immediately went to State Parole Officer Ed Whyte to learn the conditions con-ditions of his freedom. |
