Show COOPERATIVES' REPORT GIVEN Farmers' cooperative associations of the; United States transacted biiMinoss to the a mount of $2,300,-0110,000 $2,300,-0110,000 in the 1027 marketing sea-Hon, sea-Hon, according to a report received at the office of W. J. Thayne, county coun-ty agricultural agent. The largest amount of business done hy any one group was $080,-000,000, $080,-000,000, this being the sum of the transactions by the associations handling grain. The associations marketing dairy products had a total business of $tj20,000,000; the livestock associations, $320,000,000; and the' fruit and vegetable asscia-tions, asscia-tions, $300,000,000. Other associations listed in the oider of their importance are as follows: Cotton, poultry and eggs, nuts, tobacco, and wool. The report was based on the transact ions done by 11.400 active cooperative associations listed by the Department of Agriculture. The principal association operating in Utah is the Utah Poultry Producers' Pro-ducers' Cooperative Marketing association. |
