Show It Seems Otherwise The president of the United States is the most powerful executive in the world, according to Detroit News. If so, he is something that the framers of the constitution did not intend to recate. The U. S. preisdent has no power in estabishment of laws, save as to his veto, which may be : overriden, and in nullification of enacted laws through refusal to enforce them, which would be violation of his oath. He tan make no treaty, he cannot even make up his official family, fam-ily, save by and with the consent of the senate. What power .; e rnay have in respect of these matters is that of partisan politics and wholly outside of legal, official prerogatives.
