Show MODEL 'A' FORD MAKESRECORD In Europe, as well as in America and the British Isles, the Model A Ford car has established new official offi-cial records of dependability and reliability. "The latest foreign achievements of the Ford :were recorded re-corded at the utility and reliability contests of the A. D. A. C. (Allge-meiner (Allge-meiner Deutscher Automobile club) recently held in Germany. The performance of the new ord resulted in one of the most sweeping victories ever made in an automobile contest. The official scores follow: Starting test: Perfect scores in Classes 1 and 2. Acceleration, with changing gears: Perfect scores; first, second and third awards in Classes 1 and 2. Hill climbing: Perfect scores, first, second, third and fourth awards. Cross country: Perfect score in Class 2. High speed : First award in Class 1; second in Class 2. Slow speed: Highest points in Class 1. BraKe test: First award in "Mass 1. The Ford car also showed the lowest fuel consumption per liter. The hill climbing contest was held over the road between Schrei-berbau Schrei-berbau to Neue Schlesiche Baude, the crest of which had never before been opened to traffic. The course is considered by Germans to be the steepest and most difficult in Europe. The contests were open to all makes of cars and the Ford was in competition with many cars of much higher price. The cars were judged not for speed and reliability reliabil-ity alone, but for all those qualities quali-ties constituting good performance in an automobile. |
