Show DAMAGE SUIT FILED AGAINST JOHNRCLARK Driver of Alleged Accident Car and His Passenfrer Sued i For Damages Damage suits involving $15,750 were filed in the district court Wednesday Wed-nesday against John F. Clark and Benjamin Holman of Pleasant Grove by Mrs. Florence Greenwood ot Nephi and Dr. Nelson Beal of Springville. The suits are the aftermath af-termath of the fatal auto accident near I'leasant Grove on the evening eve-ning of March 5, when an auto alleged to have been driven by Clark ran Into and upset a car driven by Lynn Greenwood, son of Mrs. Greenwod, killing Beverly Beal, seveiiymonthBhOld daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Nelson Beal and injuring seven other persons occupying the car. Mrs. Greenwood asks for judg-I judg-I ment in the sum of $10,500 for in-i in-i juries sustained in the accident, ! claimed to have been enused by the alleged reckless driving of Clark while under the alleged influence of liquor. She was injured and bruised about her body and had five ribs broken on the left side, according accord-ing to the complaint. Mrs. Greenwood Green-wood le a teacher in the Nephi high school. Dr. Beal asks for damages In the sum of $5,000 for the loss of the companionship, comfort and society of his daughter, .Beverly, .who. was killed In the accident. He also asks for $250 for the funeral expenses of the child. A demurrer to a manslaughter rharge preferred against Clark as result of the accident will be heard in Judge. George P.. Parker's Kiurt Saturday. A charge of intoxication intoxi-cation is still pending in the city court against Holman. |
