Show IKIWANIANS ENTERTAIN FARMERS Sixty Springville nnd Mapleton fanners were the invited guests of the Springville Kiwanis Club nt the weekly luncheon held at the Third ward amusement hall Thursday Thurs-day evening. Dr. Thomas h. Martin, of the Brigham Young University, delivered deliver-ed the principal address. - Dr. Martin spoke of the firtility of the soils in Springville and Map-letou Map-letou and explained the ndaptahility of the hinds west of Springville for truck gardening, and for the growing grow-ing of canning crops and of the value of the bench lands for fruits and berries. Other speakers were Mayor G. 11. Maycock. Win. Hill, president of the Springville I'anu Huivmu, and Sehoy J. Hover, member of the board of directors of the Farm Bu-reau. Bu-reau. l'resident John F. Mendeiihall was master of ceremonies and M. ( . Packard acted astoastmaster of the evening. |
