Show DEER HUNTERS HAVESUCCESS Four - Provo Spoilsmen Bag Fine Bucks In Diamond Canyon Region Perhaps the most successful deer hunting trip, made by Provo sportsmen sports-men was that of Al Loveless, Earl Adams, Vern Carter and Bill Peay, who formed one of the many parties to invade the Diamond canyon area east of Thistle. These men returned Sunday with a fine buck each. Reports from practically every section of central and southern Utah are to the effect that bucks ire very scarce, while thousands of doe are to be found scattered over the southern territory. The number num-ber of fawn in comparison with doe is very small, sportsmen of the city declare. It is reported that one group of mnters found four doe that had .evidently been shot by mistake and left to lay where they fell. There seems to be a strong sentiment senti-ment among local sportsmen that :here should be one or more closed seasons on buck hunting and at least one open season on doe. |
