Show I Society Mr. nml Mrs. R. S. Nuttnll of Salt Luke City were the week-end guests of Mrs. E. O. Hull. Mr. and Ma, B. A. Jolley and son Cnlvin of American' Fork visited with their daughter, Mrs. G. L. Dnl liu and family Sunday. Mrs. L. IT. Hofeins visited in Salt Lake City Tuesday of this week. Mr. M. A. Reynolds has had as her guest during the week, "her father Thomas W. Cropper of American Fork. Maria Johnson spent the week-end with relatives here, later returning to San Francisco. Mrs. W. L. Grooms was the guest of Mrs. D. B. Welch Sunday of last week. Mrs. A. O. Packard entertained at dinner Wednesday evening of last week for Ms. K. A. Compton of Denver, Colo. A nine pound baby boy arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Jones Thursday morning of last week. Baby boys have recently been born to the following: Mr. and Mrs. Farris Hoi ley, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Wiscombe, Mr. and Mrs. Al Board- all, Mr. ami Mrs. Bert Llewellyn, : and a baby girl to Mr. and Mrs. : Ence. Mrs. Harry Woods and family of ; Genola have been visiting the past two weeks with Mrs. Woods' parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Sanford. A dinner party was given Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Parker in honor of the birthday birth-day anniversary of Lindsay Parker. Twenty friends surprised' the honored hon-ored guest. A very enjoyable evening even-ing was spent. Erin and Marie Ward have returned re-turned from a three weeks visit in California. They attended the last performance, for this year, of the famous mission play at Santa Barbara. They Visited in Eureka California, with their brother, Pat Ward. Their visit included trips to the cities of Santa Barbara, Eureka, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Tia Juana, Mexico. . Mr. and Mrs. G. Ray Hales of Spanish Fork were the Sunday guests of Mrs. W. L. Grooms. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vance of Salt : Lake spent Sunday here at the home I of Joseph Vance, Sr. ! Miss Marjorie Parker spent the ! fore part of the week visiting at her I home here. Mrs. Fern Williams went to Salt Lake City Saturday where she will be the guests of friends before returning re-turning to her home in Idaho. Mrs. Lew Banks entertained the officers of the Third ward at her home Wednesday evening of this week. Mrs. F. M. Young and daughters of Salt Lake were the guests of Mrs. 1 Young's mother, Mrs J. R. Golds-hrough, Golds-hrough, over the week-end. i Miss Pauline Firmage was invited to Spanish Fork last Friday to give ! a dance at the program of the senior 1 class of the Spanish Fork high I school. i A number of relatives and friends J surprised Jird Smith at his home 1 Saturday evening, it being his birth-i birth-i day. Dancing and musis featured j the entertainments of the evening ! after which a delicious luncheon' : was served. The rooms were dec-: dec-: orated in Easter lillies and ferns and the lawn was lighted with colored col-ored lights. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. oLn Dalton, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Miner are elated over the arrival of another Kdnnson, baby Frank, which credits them with three Franks. Hiss Helen Reidel of Milwaukee. Mis., Miss Sarah Trif;vi of Burins-ham, Burins-ham, Ore., Miss Kathleen Gordon of Philadelphia, Pa., and Miss Pearl Starr, of Ojden, motored from Os-den Os-den Saturday to visit the art exhibition exhi-bition with which htey were very much pleased. They spent the weekend week-end with Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Starr. Sirs. Vilate Reynolds was hostess to the Alpha Beta club last Friday. An excellent musical program was enjoyed. A review of the opera "Tann-liausser" "Tann-liausser" was given by Mrs. M. E. Crandall. Jr.; a piano solo "O Thou Sublime Sweet Evening Star" from "Tannhansser" played by Miss Amber Am-ber ITanford: violin solo Orval I In fen; vocal solo. Margaret Greene; flute solo.
