Show PREPARE FOR UTAH COUNTY ANNUAL FAIR Commission Gives Authority to Chamber of Commerce to Make Preparations One of the first steps toward the success of the annual Utah County fair was taken Monday when E. S. Hinckley, secretary of the Provo Chamber of Commerce, was given authority hy the board of county commissioners to invite the farmers, fruit 4 rowers, li vestock growers, poultry men, canners. and producers produc-ers in every line to make preparations prepara-tions for the big exhibition. "While last year's show was one of the most attractive of its kind ever seen in this county," observed Mr. Hinckley, "wo believe we can excel over that 100 per cent. There will be no doubt of thaL if we can get the eaidj- cooperation of the producers of the county. "This being a wonderful poultry producing section, the first annual poultry show should be conducted in connection with the county fair. This would stimulate interest in this profitable industry, which is becoming one of the Important industries in-dustries in this section," Mr. Hinckley Hinck-ley said. "Livestock, too, should be an attractive at-tractive division of the fair. Utah county is noted for its fine dairy cattle, and we want to make this fact known lo our own people as well as to those who come to see what we have." It is Mr. Hinckley's intention to send out several hundred communications communi-cations to producers in T'tah county coun-ty to make early preparation to exhibit ex-hibit their product in the fair. Special Spe-cial inducements will be offered exhibitors, ex-hibitors, and various contests and premiums will be offered to stimulate stimu-late interest in the event, Mr. Hinckley states. |
