LICENSE LAW IS AMENDED Applicants for motor vehicle licenses li-censes in the future will be re- ; quired to present a certificate from : the county assessor showing pay,- j ment of personal property tax, as j a result of the passage of Senate Bill No. 10, which became effec- tive with its signing by Governor , Dern, March 13. A communication to this effect received Saturday by County Assessor from Secretary of State Milton H. Welling, also stated that tho provisions of the law would be carried out by his office at once. The law as enacted provides that before issuing any license the secretary sec-retary of state shall require from every applicant a certificate from the county assessor showing that the personal property tax on the car has been paid. County assessors asses-sors when collecting taxes on cars are required to apply the tax levy of the preceding year , , ,
