Show Lake Fishing Aid Is Urged "Eass and Catfish in Large Quantities Advocated at Sportsmen's Confab. Improvement of the catfi:-h and I bass fishing in Utah lake will be. considered by a special committt-' to meet at the Hotel Roberts on April 4, as a result of a meeting of sportsmen held in the office of J. 1 Ai thur Meacham, state fish and garni:' commissioner. Twenty representatives repre-sentatives from th different organizations orga-nizations interested in this problem were in attendance at this meeting, which was in charge of Mark Anderson An-derson of Provo. In ordiV to further the propoga-lion propoga-lion of bass in Utah lake, it was thought advisable at Monday's meeting to secure the services of an expert from the bureau of fisheries in Washington to chock on the bass and catfish situation in Utah lake. Fishing Licenses Drop It was pointed out at the meeting that the number of fishing license:; isaued in Knit Lake county alone dropped 1000 from 1025 to l'Jl'S. iMiis decrease was nttributiM to the decline de-cline of catfishing in Utah lake.
