Show SuuGtSS OF ART SHOW ASSURED IN MANY FINE CANVASES ARRIVING With the approach of the opening open-ing of the eighth ani.ual national ait imow at Springville high school Fast. V Sunday, March 31, each day brings new canvasses from America's Amer-ica's loading artists, according to E. F. Knudsen, president of Springville Spring-ville Art as.-:oci'itinn. Among ihe attractive pieces to arrive is a huge painting of Rryee canyon from tht brush of Rii gvr Sandzen, whose paintings are hanging hang-ing in leading art galleries throughout through-out America. It is of the impressionistic impres-sionistic type, but presents a wonderful won-derful study. Mr. San.lzen spent a summt'r at Biyce two years ago where he did much preliminary work preparatory to painting a number of scene:) from this wonderland. "We are wVy happv af the manner man-ner in which the artists of the conn- try are responding to our invitations invita-tions to exhibit this year," Mr. Knudsen explained. "It :s beginning to look as if our greatest difficulty is going to be' in finding wall space in which to hang all of the fine canvases can-vases that will arrive before the opening day of the exhibit." The masterpieces, it would appear, ap-pear, will crowd the' lesser lights out of the gallery this year, in the opinion, opin-ion, of members of the art committee. commit-tee. Thus it is expected that this year's show will be, one' of the finest exhibits in the entire country. Preparations are being made to entertain thousands of art lovers from all parts of the state, who will visit thL' gallery this year. It is expected ex-pected that many interesting programs pro-grams and entertainments will take place here during the month. |
