Gordon Smith was high scorer for the winners with 19 points .Frank Loftin led the losers with 14 points. In the second game, Twelfth beat Mapleton Second 52-2- Killpack was high scorer for Twelfth with 18 points. Wil-liams was high for Mapleton with 13. Final game was fast all the way with both teams playing aggressive ball. Mapleton came out on top 39-3- 6. Elliott Jor-dan, top league scorer, led all players for the evening with 23 points. R. Devils win Saturday night the .Red Dev-ils played the North Sevier team here in a practice duel and came out on top kept the Devils from getting in for set ups in the opening quarter with their zone defense but the Devils pulled away in the 2nd quar-ter. Groneman, with hi ball hustling and shooting along with Bird's foul shots and Reid and Senior's contributions, kept the Devils ahead throughout the contest. Coach Jensen to speak to SMART Head basketball coach, Hal Jensen will be the principal speaker at the Springville-Mapleto- n Athletic Round Table scheduled for Saturday morn-ing at 7 a.m. at the Sage Inn. Mr. Jensen will also show films of the SHS games play-ed this year. |
