Due to recent cold weather most areas of the river are frozen solid, leaving open water stretches only over the deepest holes and through the rapds. Season for whitefish on the stream continues through Feb. 15. Daily bag and possession limit of whitefish on this water is 10 fish. Whitefish limit on all other streams is 25 fish daily. I Business trends shown in report Statistics released today by D. E. Smith, district manager of the Salt Lake City office of Dun & Bradstreet, Inc. reflect the trend of the business population in Utah County dur-ing the past year. Figures ob-tained from a physical count of the Dun & Bradstreet ref-erence Book for January, 1963, totaled 1226 manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers in this area. The report does not include some of the service and pro-fessional businesses such as beauty and barber shops, sec-urity dealers and real estate brokers. Therefore, the figures for business in Utah County would actually be higher than the 1226 quote above. The Dun & Bradstreet Ref-erence Book, which is the world's largest regularly pub-lished volume, is revised every sixty days to keep the business listings current. During the past sixty days, nearly 70,000 new names were added t the Reference Book and almost 65,000 were removed During the period, credit ratings were changed on more than- 110,000 business enterprises. Using the Dun & Bradstreet his business and a factor in determining the credit rating of his business. Each Reference Book listing is a condensed summary of the information contained in the Dun Bradstreet credit report. The report includes a history of the business; a description of what the business does and how it does it; a financial sec-tion which usually includes the latest financial statement; and a record or how the business pays its bills. Credit reports are primarily used by businessmen who want to evaluate the credit risk of a business before shipping or selling. Reference Book listings as a guide, it is interesting to re-view what has happened in the 20 principal County communit-ies. Provo 1963, 499; 1962, 499; 1961, 472. Spanish Fork 1963, 129; 1962 125; 1961, 120. Springville 1963, 117, 1962, 121; 1961, 126. Orem 1963, 161; 1962, 159; 1961, 170. , American Fork 1963, 99; 102; 1961, 107. As one phase in revising cre-dit reports and keeping them Dun & Bradstreet. Inc., through its national net-work of offices, writes every year to all business in the Reference Book to request their financial statements. This year these requests are being sent to approximately three million businesses to the corner groc-ery store worth a few thousand dollars as well as to businesses worth million. When the owner of a bus-iness enterprizes, or his ac-countant, fills out and mails his financial statement to Dun & Bradstreet, it becomes a part of the credit report on Gam G.
