Paulson Phone HUnter 9-5826 The Mapleton Firemen's Auxiliary held its first meeting meet-ing of the new year on Monday, Mon-day, January 7. The meeting was conducted by President Mabel L. Paulson with sixteen six-teen members present. Business matters and plans for the new year were discussed, after which the guest speaker, Dr. W. G. These men will appoint their ward clerks at a later date but have asked all other ward officers and teachers to continue con-tinue in their positions. The Mapleton Ward Genealogy Genea-logy Committee enjoyed a delicious de-licious Pot-luck supper Thursday Thurs-day night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine J. Dotson. Members of the Bishopric were special guests and games were enjoyed after dinner. The members of the Mapleton Maple-ton Ward Bishopric enjoyed a little holiday party Saturday night, January 5, at the Harold Gividen home. A lovely visit was topped off with homemade home-made ice cream and cake. The Jaycee's Wives held their meeting in the Memorial Hall on January 3. Their husbands hus-bands were 'guests of the evening, eve-ning, and Dean Jones their guest speaker. Mr. Jones spoke to the subject "Problems of children, and ways to handle them." President Elaine Har-mer Har-mer conducted the business of the meeting and refreshments were served by the color group in charge, consisting of Mrs. Floyd Lowe, Captain; Mrs. Lee Robertson, Mrs. Nino Antonino, Mrs. LeRoy Pulsipher, Mrs. Larry Revoir, Mrs. Kenneth Harmer. The Mapleton 2nd Ward Willis Harmer is at present in the Utah Valley Hospital undergoing treatment for his heart. Mrs. Vivian Everett and son Duane spent several days in Chino, Calif, during the holidays, holi-days, visiting with her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Kay Roberts-Mr. Roberts-Mr. and Mrs. Howard Holda-way Holda-way had their infant son blessed bles-sed and named on Sunday morning. He was given the name of Stephen Garry. In the Mapleton ward, Mr. and Mrs. David Cloward's baby girl was blessed and given the name of Monica. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shipley's infant son was blessed by his father and given giv-en the name of Chris. Assisting Assist-ing in Chris's blessing was his brother Gordon, and his grandfather. grand-father.
