Club hears about New Zealand Miss JoAn Arden of New Zealand, entertained members of the Bonne Amitie club with an account of her country, the various customs and its historical his-torical background, at a meeting meet-ing Wednesday evening at the home of Marva Boyack. The speaker also showed a number of interesting films and played records from her country. She is presently the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Don Miner. The club talked over plans ,for their Mother's Day party to be Friday at Melody Inn and the next meeting was announced an-nounced for May 22, to be at the home of Dawn Robbins. The previous meeting of the club was held at the LeAnna McClain home where games and a luncheon were enjoyed. Stephen Stewart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stewart of Springville, graduated from recruit re-cruit training at the Naval Training Center, San Diego, Calif., April 19. The nine-week basic training train-ing included physical fitness, basic military law, military drill, customs and ettiquette of the naval service, swimming and survival and first aid. During the training period, recruits received tests and in-future in-future training and assignments.
