Show Club hears talk on liberties Mrs. A. E. Jacobsen was hostess to members of the Ladies Literary club at their Thursday meeting at which Paul K. Walker was the guest speaker. He discussed the subject, "Preserving our Liberties," emphasizing the importance of education in the preservation of liberty. The meeting was in charge of President Jessie J. Dalton who asked Mrs. Rose Andrus to read the club Collect. Mrs. Dalton also conducted a short business meeting. Mrs. Julia Sumsion entertained enter-tained with a medley of patriotic pa-triotic selections on the piano. Preceding the program, the hostess served a nicely arrang- ed tray luncheon to club members mem-bers and Arlene .Mendenhall and Emily Anderson were special guests. |
