Show Political aspirants share limelight with school board candidates, amendments, mosquito proposal Next Tuesday, November 6, will be a big day, and ah exciting one for many people, as citizens trek to the polls to vote for the men, who, in their opin- ion, will do the best job, locally, lo-cally, statewise and nationally. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and every registered citizen will be expected ex-pected to vote. Springville has had a fine record for voting' in the past and it is expected to maintain it this year. Two sets of judges will count the votes and the totals are expected ex-pected to be in in short time. To make it more convenient for mothers to vote, the Future Fu-ture Homemakers of America, high school chapter, nnder direction di-rection of Mrs. Ardis Kill-pack, Kill-pack, instructor, are going to homes and offer to stay with the children, free of charge, while the mother votes, Tuesday Tues-day after school. Besides voting for the regular regu-lar candidates running for office of-fice on both tickets, .citizens will be asked to vote on three amendment and all are warned warn-ed not to forget this part of voting. One amendment will be concerning con-cerning elimination of taxes on property of valuation up to $3000, for widows and orphans of World War II veterans. Another An-other is to raise the wages up to $3000, and double expense money for legislators. Another is concerning the use of the gasoline tax for road improvement improve-ment only. On the ballot also will appear ap-pear names of candidates for state school board and there will be two names, those of Dr. W. G. Biesinger and Leo A. Crandall, candidates for Nebo school board. Taxpayers will be given a separate ballot on which they will vote, for or against, the mosquito abatement program. This is given to taxpayers on- ly, as present plans call for an increase of one mill in tax levy for the program. Mapleton ballots Mapelton citizens will vote on a member for Nebo board of Education, from Precinct 3, which covers their city, also Lake Shore, Benjamin, Salem, Thistle, Birdseye, Leland and Palmyra. The candidate from Mapleton Maple-ton is Jack Canto. Voting places are announced as follows: Mapleton the Mapleton amusement hall; Springville district 1, the home of Mrs. Helen . Pace, 655 South Second East; district 2, the home of Mrs. Julia Sumsion, 124 South Second West; district 3, the home of Mrs. Retta Harmer, 190 West First South; district 4, the home of Mrs. Hlen Crandall, 281 North Second East; district 4, the Armory; district 6, Mrs. Elva Ashcraft, 310 East.
