Marie Barney, director, not present for the picture. Mapleton JC Wives stage colorful event troduced her new officers and color captains, Marilyn Lee, Lorna Robinson and Marge Daley. Mrs. John Henderson, mother of the new president; also Mayor and Mrs. Welby Warren were special guests. An attractive Easter deco-rative theme was carried out at the Mapleton JC Wives in-stallation banquet at Barts with Shirlene Revoir as toast-mistres- s. Mrs. Arlene Anto-nino, retiring president, made her report and presented her officers with a pink and white picture vase. Her officers then presented her with a pink and white bracelet and earring1 set and she received the past presi-dent's pin. To those who presented the September meeting, voted the best of the year, and featur-ing Mr. .nd Mrs. Harrison Conover in talks and pictures on their trip to the Pacific Islands, Joseph original dolls were presented. Janet Car-nesecc- a, Marge Daley and Nel-d- a Liefson were the recipients. Shirlene Revoir gave the secretary report and was pre-sented with a bracelet with the JC Wives insignia. The retiring president was present-ed with a scrapbook of all the meetings of the year. The new president was pre-sented with the president's pin and outlined the program for the coming year. Art Tea Saturday will, feature 'Spring Tones' as colorful theme During the afternoon back-ground music will be furnished by tape recordings of string selections played by David J. Dalton, graduate student of Eastman School of Music. Spring in all its . splendor will be seen at the 22nd annual April Art Tea Saturday, when Federated Womens clubs of Springville are hosts to club members of the state and other guests. The event is scheduled from 2 until 5 p.m., at the high school Art Gal-lery and is expected to attract near 500 people. Invited to pour during the afternon are Mrs. Mae Hun-tington, Mrs. A. C. Chader, Mrs. Nell Condie, Mrs. Mary Schwartz, Mrs. G. Lowry An-derson and Mrs. Jean Ashby. Receiving guests will be Mrs. George Dewey Clyde, wife of the governor; Mrs. Lon A. Ladies invited to state fashion show here Saturday at 1 o'clock being assisted by Mrs. Mary Bird, music, Mrs. Elaine Hall, publicity and Mrs. Louise Clyde, decorations The State Federation of Wo-mens clubs is holding the fi-nals in the Fashion Show Vogue pattern contest in Springville next Saturday, the same day as the Art Tea to give everyone an opportunity to attend both events the same afternoon. , The Fashion Show will be held at 1 p.m., at the Grant School Auditorium with the winners from each of the dist-ricts entering. Several o'ther ladies with outstanding items of wearing apparel which were made from Vogue pat-terns, have also been asked to model. Mrs. Ray Lofgran, Spring-ville's entry who took first in the district, will model her winning ensemble. Some valu-able prizes await the winner of the state contest that day, including a $100 cash prize for first place and $25 for second.
