Womens' clubs made an out-i out-i standing record at the district j convention held in Nephi Sat-; Sat-; urday, returning home with ; three main offices and as j many special honors, i Mrs. Mary Schwartz was j elected president of the dist-j dist-j rict succeeding Mrs. H. E. An-; An-; drew of Nephi. She had served ! previously as district vice-j vice-j president. j Elected as recording secre- I tary of the district is Mrs. j Jim (Karen) Thorn and as j district auditor, Mrs. Earl ! (Lois) Child, i Adding to the honor of dist- ; rict president, Mrs. Schwartz ' was also announced as district teacher of the year, j Mrs. Harold Christensen, past state federation president i and now serving on the General Gen-eral Federation of Wowens j Clubs as chairman of the committee com-mittee on Conservation of Natural Na-tural Resources, was named club-woman of the year in the district. , Mrs. Ray Lofgran, president of the Springville" council, who took first place honors in the district fashion contest, was introduced during the convention conven-tion at which approximately twenty club members from Springville attended.
