The game is a building fund benefit show sponsored by the Sixth and Eleventh wards. Advertised as the funniest basketball team in America, the Harlem Clowns run by Al Pullins, one of the all-tim- e Harlem Globetrotter greats are a combine of Negro stars who tour the country making peo-ple laugh. They play their audience for laughs from the time they romp out on the floor until they leave the court spinning basketballs on fore-finger tips. The Harlem Clowns stage all the comic routines of clown basketball plus a lot of im- - promptu stuff. Along with this, they add the razzle-dazzl- e ball handling, intricate pass patterns, trick shooting, fancy dribbling, all of which adds up to one of the craziest shows in the business. i Fans can expect plenty of action from the moment the f Clowns come out on the floor with a fast warmup routine, followed by a lot of tricky and s fancy ball handling and with j enough really great basketball j to make it one of the most in- - i teresting evenings imaginable. f' s-- 1C For yUi we wish a wonderful Christmas, V AjV" one that recalls JJ'V' j vT in fullest meaning t :H'Y-- A l.r x. oftl,ebirt1 Smittie's Texaco Service v ! nil our best wishes to St! .M-- f jJ-f- f you and your family. Devils Drop One To Lehi Cagers Coach Garrett's Red Devils continued in the deficit cou-um-in games played during the past week losing to Bing-ham 28-4- 9 and Lehi, Tuesday night, 55-4- 4. The Devils have plenty of hustle, but lack the driving and scoring ability that has been a characteristic of Red Devil teams of the past. Tuesday night, the Devils' "dribble happy" antics proved fatal and on many occasions, the Devils were caught nap-ping on the opponent's fast break game. Henry Giles. warned that arrests are being made daily for late shooting and the illegal killing of swan. They advised hunters to ob-tain and follow the daily chan-ging waterfowl shooting time table and not to shoot at any all-whi- te bird. 'Spotty' Hunting Due to Veather Clear weather along with sub-freezi- temperatures over the past month have contribu-ted greatly to what the de-partment of fish and game de-scribes as "spotty" waterfowl hunting. The duck and goose shoot, only one of the general sea-sons continuing in Utah does not come to a close until Jan-uary 8. The department said ample bird numbers remain through-out the state to supply good shooting for hunters getting into the flight and feed pat-terns. Some of the best bags are being taken lately jump shooting the potholes and open streams. Areas which provide feed and thaw out during the after-noon are also providing some good shooting. The department also said many geese are now moving to the south-stat- e waterways where the late season hunt an- -' nually records a good bag of these big birds. , Law enforcement officials Progress in every age re-sults only from the fact that there are some men and wo-men who refuse to believe that what they knew to be right cannot be done.
