Quite signif-icant is the fact that Mrs. Kin-dred and her husband have spent their entire life in this -- ity and in the Third ward. childhood sweet-hearts; They were built their home short-ly after their marriage 5o years ago in June and reared seven sons and daughters in the same ward. Mrs. Kindred has always been active in LDS church work holding offices in the Mrs. Mabel M. Mid-Wint- er Temple Ceremony Unites Marilyn Moon, Glade Hall John Moon. Norma R. Figgatt was at the guest book. In the gift room were Ber-tha Johnson, Kathleen M. Men-denha- ll and Loretta M. Payne, assisted by gift-beare- John Hall and Richard Moon. Serving were Val Gividen, Betty Ann Gines, Louise Schou-te- n, Laura Winterton and Sue Harrison. Adding a note of interest and beauty, was the pink tree with rose and pink lights flickering through pink angel hair. Ar-rangements of white flowers added' to the decorative theme The couple honeymooned in Denver, Colo., where Glade fil-led an LDS mission and are presently making their home in Springville while Marilyn con-tinues teaching at the Payson Junior high school and Glade continues his studies at the BYU. In a beautiful mid-wint- er set-ting of pink, rose and white, the new Mr. and Mrs. Glade Hall received a host of rela-tives and friends at a recep-tion in their honor in the Third-Nint- h ward church Sat-urday evening, December 20, the evening following their marriage in the Salt Lake Temple. The lovely bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. N. Moon, was attired in a nylon taffeta with Chantilly lace trim, and her bouquet consisted of a white orchid with stephanotis. Attending her as maid of honor was her sister Callie who wore a rose velvet sheath while bridesmaids Jane Harri-son, Jane Bowen and Connie Hall, were in pink sheaths of peau de soie. Little Marilyn Hall was flower girl attired in a rose and pink velvet. Their flowers were white mum "snowball" bouquets. Mrs. Moon wore a dusty rose at the reception and Mrs. Hall rose crystelline. Best man to the groom was Phillip DeLance Chase and ushers were George Hall and Club Members, Guests At Holiday Party S. T. Club members and then-partner- s were entertained at Memorial Hall at a holiday party with dinner served at 7 o'clock by the Legion Auxil-iary. Holley and candles made atractive centerpieces for the long tables around which cov ers were arranged for 23 mem-bers and guests. Visiting and progressive games made for a pleasam evening arranged by the club officers, Mrs. Bill Phillips and Mrs. Lee Sumsion. Prizes ' oi the games went to Hugh Bax-ter, Lee Sumsion, Mrs. Emm; Kennedy and Mrs. J. W. Clark. Attending besides those men tioned and their partners were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johnson, Mr and Mrs. Raymond Clark, Mr and Mrs. Leon Harrison, Mr and Mrs. Arthur Finley, Mr and Mrs. Bill Brown, Mrs., V: Child, Art Child, Mrs. Ella Crandall and Mrs. Lee Davis. Mothers Study Club Holds Holiday Party Mothers Study club held their holiday party at the home of Mrs. Ted Martindale with twenty four members and three i guests, Mrs. Alice Davis, Mrs i Carol Clark and Mrs. Flosi Phillips attending. Mrs. Phillips gave an inter- 1 esting Christmas story an ( Mrs. Floss Taylor gave fou j poems. President Mae Hunting v ton read a poem composed b; I a member, Mrs. Ella Reynold , and Mrs. Huntington also re j ported on the recent club presi j dents' meeting. She said the , clubs had decided to join fo. 1; an Art talk in March with ;: Richard Gunn of the BYU de partment as speaker; also that :; ' the Mothers Study club had been assigned decorations for ;! the Art Tea. She said the clubs will assist again with clothes for the state hospital and that Mrs. Martindale would act as chairman. Gifts were distributed under direction of Mrs. Gwen Tip-pet- ts and Mrs. Martindale and Mrs. Genie Pierce led in sing-ing carols. Next meeting was announced for January 9, Friday, at which Mrs. Philda Finley will be hos-tess at the home of her son -- s and daughter-in-la- Mr. and Mrs. Cal Finley, at 4 oT;lock. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Salisbury enjoyed a visit from their son Howard Salisbury during the holidays. He is from Rexburg, Ida., an instructor at Ricks College. Whitney honored at reception after Manti Temple rites, making home in Springville. She is the former Miss Helen Parry. Mr., Mrs. Phillip Whitney Make Home Here After Dec. Wedding and Marva Dibble. In charge of refreshments, was Mrs. Ethel Jensen with Linda Child, Patricia Whitney Myrna Harmer, Susan Harmer, Linda Young and Janet Bona serving. Helen and Phillip are both graduates of the Springville high school and LDS Seminary. He is a former student of the USU at Logan and his bride has attended he BYU. 5, , The wedding of charming Miss Helen Parry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Parry of Mapleton and Phillip A. Whit-ney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Whitney of Springville was a mid-wint- er nuptial event of interest taking place December 17, in the Manti Temple. A reception in the Mapleton amusement hall, the following-evenin-honored the couple, who are now making their home in Spi'ingville.' The bride's wedding gown was of silk lace over satin, fashioned with full floor-lengt- h skirt and three quarter sleeves. Her veil of illusion was ar-ranged to a crown of seed pearls and seauins and her bou- - with Kathleen Parry, Lorna and Janet Whitney, junior bridesmaids. They were attired in orchid sheath taffeta gowns ith flowers in corresponding shades. Best man to the groom was Larry Hermansen of Payson. Mrs. Parry chose a pink lace for her daughter's reception and Mrs. Whitney vJore biege lace. Greeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Averett and Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Dur-ran- t. Lucille Wing and Bever-ly Diamond were at the guest book. Arranging gifts were Inez Harmer, Carolyn Hermansen quet consisted of an orchid surrounded with baby orchids and white carnations. Attending the bride were Dorothy Parry, Esther Parry, Deanna Durrant, June Dia-mond, Linda Whitney and Sharon Tew as bridesmaids Crib (Corner Boy, to LaVon and Lynette Livingston Wheeler, December 6. Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Living-ston are maternal grandpar-ents. Girl, to Staff Sgt. and Mrs. Robert D. Barton December 19, at Peteluma, Calif. The new arrival is the first grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D M. Barton of Springville. Boy, to Glenn and Elaine McNess Montague, Thursday January 1, at the Utah Valley Hospital. The new little boy had the honor of being the first to make his appearance at the Utah Valley Hospital New Year's day arriving at 2:03 a.m. to claim the honor. Relatives Join for Birthday Surprise Among the enjoyable family during the holi-days was a surprise dinner party complimenting Mrs. Earl Condie on her birthday. Ap proximately thirty members of the Condie and Weight families joined at dinner at Barts where they also enjoyed a program of carols and toasts. The occasion also marked the birthday of Mrs. Alan Stewart.
