The owners wel-come these folks and go all out to make the place one for fun and enjoyment. But Saturday and Sunday skaters tore down and burned several long fence rails and posts, presumably to keep warm. We are not sure whether these young people did these things deliberately, realiz-ing fully the damage resulting from such destructive acts, but it is costly to replace the fence which is used to keep the owners' horses corraled. In as much as the owners of the pro-perty have already gone to the expense of providing a pond free of charge for every-one's pleasure, it is the least skaters can do to protect the property. If destruction con-tinues, the pond will undoubtedly be closed to the public which the owners would regret doing because of a few thoughtless people. We should pass the word along that it is the responsibility of the skaters to furnish their own fuel if fires are required at the pond. Otherwise there will be no more free skating at Spring Acres. i . ' ' . Y' I " F . I vyr - - ; t Richard J. Hone, son of Mrs. W. G.
