Show Final Fish Plants Now Being Made Heavily fished on-the-road waters over the state are now receiving final plants of catch-able catch-able sized trout as the ponds holding these larger fish are being cleared at all twelve of the state's fish hatcheries. Anglers An-glers are urged to take advantage advan-tage of these late summer plants in order that the maximum maxi-mum number of fish may be returned to the creel. The department of fish and game said the final plants of catchables would be completed in time to meet the final heavy pressure of the season as most anglers go afield over the long Labor Day holiday. Space and growth requirements require-ments necessitate the finger-ling finger-ling trout from smaller ponds in the hatcheries be moved to the larger ponds at this season in preparation for the 1960 stocking program. |
