We Readers Mrs. Flora Chesnut will be hostess to We Readers at her home this evening beginning at 8 p.m., when Mrs. Lillian Thorpe will review the book, "Song of America," by George Mardikian. Springville Stake Guide Patrol Show Springville Stake Guide Patrol Pa-trol are holding a Skill Show this evening at 7:30 p.m., in the Stake House to which parents par-ents and friends and Primary workers are invited. The different differ-ent ward groups will put on demonstrations and skill games will be played and refreshments served. Mrs. Allie Gobel, stake Guide Patrol leader will be in charge. Amateur Art Exhibit Planned All amateur artists are asked to get two new pictures ready for the Hafen-Dallin exhibit to be held in November. Everyone interested is urged to make plans now to exhibit in this annual an-nual event. Young Marrieds Schedule Party Members of the Young Marrieds Mar-rieds meeting at the home of Mrs. Ted Sorensen at Orem, planned a canyon party for their husbands to be held Saturday Sat-urday August 22, at Kelley's Grove. Democratic Ladies Study Group A meeting of the Democratic Ladies Study group is announced announ-ced for Friday afternoon at 2 p.m., at the home of Mrs. Jim Miller. All Democratic women wo-men in Springville and others interested are invited to attend. I Kolob Stake Set Jr. Gleaner Commradery All parents and class members mem-bers are invited to attend the Junior Gleaner Commradery of Kolob Stake honoring the Silver Sil-ver Gleaners next Tuesday August 25, at 8 p.m., in the Second Ward church, anounces Mrs. Edward Boyer, stake junior Gleaner supervisor. Miamaids, Explorers Schedule Outing Each ward Miamaid and Explorer Ex-plorer group will furnish their own lunch at the summer outing out-ing of Kolob Stake next Tuesday Tues-day evening at Kelleys Grove. The stake will furnish soft drinks and desert. Each ward is also responsible for transportation trans-portation of the Miamaids and Explorers to the recreation area. A full attendance is expected ex-pected according to Elwood Loveridge, stake leader. |
