Show Recreation Schedule, Tree Removal Other Items Taken Up by Council A recreation schedule for the summer together with suggestions sugges-tions for improved lighting facilities fa-cilities were made by George Pehrson, city recreation director,' direc-tor,' at the City Council meeting meet-ing Monday evening. Discussion of the removal of trees along Main street to conform con-form to a state road ordinance in preparation for installation of new lights; a discussion of possibilities of widening Second Sec-ond North east of Ninth East and location of access roads and the opening of bids for a new police car, were other major ma-jor items taken up at the Council meeting. Recreation Schedule The schedule for games under un-der the lights at Memorial Park states that during April on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the Pony League will play, while Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, will be reserved for church. During May, Monday, Mon-day, Wednesday and Friday will be for Pony League and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday Satur-day for church. During June, Monday, Wednesday Wed-nesday and Friday will be for Pony League and Tuesday and alternating Thursday, city softball and on Saturday and alternating Thursday, church. July . schedules will be the same as June. The last 15 days or two weeks on Tuesday will be available to the church. Most of the dates in September are open to the church. The North Park is available to the church- 2 or 3 nights per week, the schedule states Mrs. Pehrson suggested some lights should be installed on the south part of Memorial Park for the girl's program and Grant Whitehead will be asked by the council to investigate investi-gate the costs, etc. To facilitate the removal of trees along Main Street, authorization auth-orization was given for purchase pur-chase of a hydraulic ladder and a power saw. The cemetery pasture lease was awarded to Don "Miner for a year for $125. After opening bids for a police car, it was decided to trade in the Studebaker for a 1958 Oldsmobile, the price after af-ter trade being $1529. The council also decided to approve and sign the final plot plan of Bel-Air Heights sub-division. Attending the meeting were Mayor J. Emmett Bird and Councilmen Clyde, Strong, Whiting, and Nielson and Recorder Re-corder Lloyd J. Ashcraft.
