Two regulation army airplanes, a Liberty Lib-erty motor and much new equipment of various sorts will be abided to the auto and tractor section of the department of farm mechanics at the Ltah Agricultural college this fall, according to latest word from Professor L. LI. Humphreys, head of the department. Tins new equipment added to the apparatus now in use, should, according u Professor Pro-fessor Humphreys, make the l.'tah Agricultural Agri-cultural college department of auto and tractor work the equal of schools - which specialize in this work only. Although the work in automobiles and tractors at the college will not begin until the beginning of the second term of the year, December 8, because thn extensive preparations now under .way are not entirely en-tirely completed. Professor Humphreys is daily receiving inquiries as to the work to be given in the department. The corning corn-ing extensive equipment should heighten the service rendered to the people. Excellent Ex-cellent openings, lie says, are found a t all times for men trained in this line of work, and especially for t "nose qualified in tractor care and operation. The 1910-20 general catalogue of the college lists eight comprehensive courses in automobile and tractor work', including vocational courses in automobile and tractor, advanced auto repair, automobile electricity and a two weeks' short irn-'tor j course for trad or owners; june-r college courses in farm machinery, farm motors, and senior euliege courses in applied farm mechanics and advanced farm motors. The teaching l'acu) ty in this department depart-ment includes Professor Humphreys, A. II. Powell and Mr. Winchell. |
