The parade formation for the Golden Spike jubilee to be held In Ogden May 10 was announced tonight by Chairman W. M. Piggott of the committee. com-mittee. It will be as follows in its formation: forma-tion: Band, Indians, friars, miners, trappers, trap-pers, ox teams, handcarts, pony express, stage coach floats of the "Golden Spike." "Maul," "Driving of Spike," engine Juiter No. 60, scene at Promontory and on the cut-off, Southern Pacific band, railway crafts and organizations, depicting railway rail-way progress; band, labor organizations, educational, band, Industries, band, fraternal fra-ternal and commercial division, band, military division, floats depicting the peace conference. B. M. Fox has been named as the marshal mar-shal of the day. He will name his aides Ln the immediate future. Federal, state, city and county officials, offi-cials, of state and visiting, will be provided pro-vided seats in the reviewing stand with the pioneer railroad builders. The reviewing re-viewing stand will be constructed upon one of the principal streets. An effort is being made to have the Southern Pacific send the original Jupiter Jupi-ter engine to Ogden for the parade. In the event of the engine's being received, it will be run over the street car tracks. |
