In a formal communique Lssued last nUht D'Annunzio announced hie stand against accepting the plebiscite, declaring irregularities had been found which he considered to invalidate the vote. According to advices from Fiume. Sig-nor Sig-nor I'edrazzi. the head of D'Annunzio' 3 press bureau, tendered his resignation to the poet -soldier because of tho latter's failure to accept a decision of the national na-tional council to abide by the plebiscite. The message quotes a communique issued is-sued by D'Annunzio on the resignation, reading: "Signer Pedrazzl leaves as chief of tho press bureau of Fiume. T wish to express ex-press my most profound regret, and hop that soon the reasons which led him to Withdraw will no longer exist." |
