Show NEW DATE SET FOR SPEECH ON LEAGUE The speech of Major J. Reuben Clark, Jr., on the league of nations, which was to have been given Friday in the tabernacle, taber-nacle, has been postponed to the following Tuesday, according to the committee in ! charge, because of the inability of the 1 speaker to appear at the time arranged. Bishop Charles W. Nibley has been named chairman of the meeting, and subcommittees sub-committees have been appointed to promote pro-mote attendance from all parts of the state. The central committee has made arrangements also for tho announcement of the sueech in churches of vthe state Sunday. According to Preston D. Richards, a member of the committee, Major Clark was called on recently to present a detailed de-tailed study of phases of the German peace treaty to the United States senate committeo on foreign relations. Mr. Richards said that since one view of the league was given in the tabernacle by former President Taft, Utahns will have an opportunity to hear the other side of the question. Major Clark is opposed to the league, Mr. Richards says. |
