Show COAST LEAGUE CLUBS ILL PLAY SCHEDULE Railroad Strike Fails to Disrupt Plans of Teams in California. Special to The Tribune. LOS ANGEL.ES, AufT. 26.The railroad strike thus far has not caused the disruption dis-ruption at the Los Angeles end of the j Pacific Coast league schedule. The Ver- 1 non club, which has been in the north, will arrive at "Washington park tomorrow tomor-row and the games of the Sacramento series will be played on schedule. The Sacramento team is already in town and the only question raised by the strike was whether the Tigers could make the long trip from Portland. That they will be here is practically certain, as advices at midnight indicated that the automobiles bringing the players here were within 200 miles of Los Angeles. The combination of high-power motor cars and excellent California roads is believed be-lieved here to be a match for the strikers, strik-ers, and there will be no serious interruption inter-ruption of the Coast league schedules until the Salt Lake jump comes. The Angels are reported well on their way to Portland tonight. |
