The first stop was made at the Orow-ers' Orow-ers' market in Salt Dake. and after a careful inspection of that institution, the caravan moved over to the Clover Deaf creamery, where it was entertained by tile proprietors. Then, in the order named, visits were made to the Ay'a.sateh Jersey dairy farm In Holliday; the Bringhurst Tlolstein dairy farm in Holliday; tho Smith poultry farm In Union; tho Garden rabbit farm In Union, and the Murray canning factory. fac-tory. After tho Inspection of the ennning factory fac-tory tho excursionists repaired to the lawn of tho ward house at -Murray, where a bountiful picnic luncheon was spread. During the luncheon hour addresses were delivered by Chairman D. F. Smith of the Davis county board of commissioners; Mayor Norman Krckson of Murray, who welcomed the visitors; Ben R. Kldredge of tho department of agriculture of the U. A. C; Professor Johu T. Calne, III, of the V. A. C. ; Mrs. Sarah Arbuckle of Davis county, and W. D. Criddle, president of the Davis county farm bureau. After luncheon the excursionists visited the plant of tho American Smelting & Refining Re-fining company, and then went to Mldvale, whero somo time was Interestingly spent at I'icrson's potato farro. T!n route home the. members of the bureau were special guests of the Deseret museum and Ue North Salt Lake stock yards. |
