Show CHURCH WOULD RAISE DANCING STANDARDS POCATBLI.O, Idaho, Nov. IT. About the same time that Mayor W, P. Whit-aker Whit-aker put the ban on certain dances, emphasizing em-phasizing in particular the "shimmie," came the announcement that the L. D. S. church here will conduct a vigorous campaign of education regarding social dancing. Already instruction has been begun, under the direction of Miss Nina Taylor Tay-lor of Salt Lake, president of the T'tah Dancing Masters' association. Plans have been discussed with a y'ew to establishing estab-lishing higher standards, 'and the Poca-tello Poca-tello stake will send representatives to Salt Lake to attend a course of instruction instruc-tion to be given there in the Deseret gymnasium. November IT to 22, and these representatives will prepare to take c harge of the classes to be organized here later. |
