Authors' Club Observes Anniversary. The last literary meeting of the Authors' Au-thors' club for the year took place Wednesday Wed-nesday morning. Professor George M. Marshall of the University of Utah gave a review of "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse." A business meeting will be held net Wednesday morning, at which the election elec-tion of officers will take place. The club held its annual reunion Tuesday Tues-day evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Rlter on East First South street. The special guests of the evening were the university professors who have lectured lec-tured before the club, their wives, and Squire Coop, who gave a series of lectures lec-tures on music two years ago. A buffet dinner was served at 7 o'clock. Oriental Musical Entertainment Planned. The music section of the Ladies' Literary Lit-erary club will give the first of a series se-ries of musical programs Saturday afternoon after-noon from 3 to 6 o'clock in the clubhouse. club-house. The program will be "A Musical Musi-cal Day in the Orient," with a Japanese tea. Native musicians in costume will assist in compositions illustrating their own art. Addi- Annual Election Held and Work finished OFFICERS were elected for the ensuing en-suing club year and annual reports were adopted at the last meeting of tho Ladies' Literary club, preceding the summer vacation, at the clubhouse Friday afternoon. The treasurer's report re-port showed that five bonds or $500 of the club's indebtedness have been paid during the year, leaving $14,700 yet outstanding out-standing of an original indebtedness of $25,000. Serving every two weeks at two railway stations all day long, besides answering special calls from tho Eed Cross. The surgical supply work done by the members in the Bed Cross gauze room and in packing aud other departments totaled 4348 hours' service. Members have reported 238 pairs of socks, twenty-iuno sweaters aud one pair of wristlets knitted and the sewing of maiiv layettes, booties and pajamas. Several of the chapter members have given much time and energy to work at the Civic Center. Club Activities of the Y. W. C. A.. Following is a schedule of Y.. W. C. A. club activities for this week: Tuesday Friloha will meet at the end of the Third avenue car line at 4 o'clock for a hike up Spring hollow. The meeting will tako place around the campfire. League Will Close Its Work for Year COMPLETION of its work for the year and the annual election of officers is the purpose of the final meeting of the Catholic Woman's league for the season at the Ladies' Literary club house.
